Project Lead : Dr Meenakshi Munda and Dr Abhay Sagar Minz JITPA, (Jharkhand Indigenous and Tribal Poeples for Action), is a part of the larger network of Asia Young Indigenous People Network (AYIPN), head office located in Baguio City, Philippines. JITPA was introduced in 2009. A community based organization and has been continuously working on issues like that of Human Rights, Land and Forest rights, Education, Climate change, Health, Environment, organizing international and national level conferences contributing to SDG 2030. JITPA ( Jharkhand Indigenous and Tribal Peoples for Action) in collaboration with Paroksha Foundation wants to share with you all an issue of educationally deprived areas in rural Jharkhand and the work on its remedy. We envision to build a better world by providing access to books to maximum people. But unfortunately, Rural Jharkhand has very poor infrastructure and to provide them access to libraries is a real challenge. Our aim is to build a series of rural libraries that encourage and motivate the children, youths or adults, in order to build reading habits among them. Let them have access to best books and learn with creative resources. This will be a service for everyone who want to access the library. We would request you all to support the cause so that people from village can also get access to a library. You can contribute either by gifting books or supporting infrastructure development. As off now, with the collective effort we have established 11 such libraries and looking forward to work on more.

You can be part of this initiative by supporting the cause in any capacity: -
1. Gift Books (Used or new doesn’t matter, knowledge has no expiry)
2. Gift computers (again used or new but should be in working condition)
3. Gift stationary of any kind.
4. Gift children games which can help making learning creative for kids.
5. Any learning technology related product.
6. Help build infrastructure like furniture or Software application for library management.
7. Volunteer to gain further support for the project.
8. Share any resource you know where we can get help from.
9. Share any resource we can get books from.

WEAVE

Preventive Treatment Camps (Paid/Funded Camps)

Dr. Marguerite Theophil and Dr. Homayun Taba, organizational and educational consultants for over 30 years, have worked in different parts of India and abroad.

These days, their main focus is on On-Going Learning for educators and students, in their home-city Mumbai and other places - specially in Ladakh since 2010. They are joined by a young and dynamic volunteer team.
They bring in not only their experience in team building, leadership development, strategic planning and creating a learning-nurturing culture, but also work with yoga and meditation, story and art.
Their aim and passion is setting up libraries, encouraging the joy of reading, and - in the face of the current challenging environment - equipping teachers with creative and effective approaches that encourage and develop curiosity and imagination, two key ingredients of learning.
Paroksha and WEAVE join in combining our skills and experience, to add dental hygiene education and treatment in these programs.
Both our groups intend to work closely together, particularly in the more remote, less serviced areas of our country.
