Dr. Divya Dwaraknath
Dr Divya has an eclectic background in both Dentistry and Public Health. She holds a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from SRM University, India and Master of Public Health (majored in Environmental Health) from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Australia. Her zest to learn more about environmental health issues got her the opportunity to pursue a PhD in the field of grass pollen allergic diseases manifestation and its impact on public health. She worked as a student Environmental Health Officer at Queensland Health and assisted with various environmental health issues ranging from outbreaks, food sampling and labelling, community pharmacies compliance and the Zika Virus Mozzie Seeker project. She currently works as the National Executive Officer for Environmental Health Australia (EHA). EHA is a premier non for profit environmental health professional organisation advocating for environmental health outcomes in Australia..Divya is also the International Student Ambassador for the Faculty of Health at QUT and helps prospective and incoming students by sharing her experience about living and studying in an overseas country. She believes in taking inspired action to create a positive social change.
